CCI Physical Marketing

Freight

In 2011, CCI began a freight trading and vessel operating business. This business works closely with clients and develops value-added, long-term joint ventures. The Company operates several “Eco” vessels under long-term leases, sources additional freight capacity through short-term dry bulk time charters, and enters into short and long-term contracts of affreightment (COAs). The freight group is supported by desks in Stamford, Geneva and Singapore.

Iron Ore

CCI began trading and marketing iron ore in 2013. We trade and market physical and financial iron ore in the United States, Asia and Latin America. The group is a reliable supplier of products to Chinese steel mills and is also capable of sourcing niche products such as pellets and low-cost ore from Latin America.

Coal

CCI owns coal terminals in the eastern United States with a combined throughput capacity of eight million tons. Our U.S. coal offices are located in Connecticut and West Virginia and we also have a presence in the Asian coal markets through our office in Shanghai.
